iOS 6 includes features like Passbook, Facebook integration, Siri improvements

iOS 6 update has wandered into minute possibilities of updating every application on Apple’s devices. Apple launched the iOS 6 update simultaneously for all its devices namely, iPod Touch, iPhone 5 and iPad. iOS 6 update is advertised to comprise of over 200 new features.

The process of obtaining the iOS 6 update has been explained by various technological avenues and is deemed to be better than the previous iOS upgrades. iOS 6 update had also introduced the much criticised Apple maps with its release.

The new iOS 6 update features Siri improvements, Facebook integration, Apple’s new passbook feature and many more. The Facebook feature allows the user to post locations to Facebook directly from the maps application. Status update and replying to posts will be achieved directly without clicking the Facebook application.

Siri can also be accessed by the users to dictate their posts. iOS 6 update has also featured multi-language support for Siri and local search accessibility in Siri supported countries. Apple’s passbook feature works like the new wallet where users can store digital copies of their tickets, gift cards and many more things.

The application is still in its developing stage so it does not allow integration with credit and debit cards. iOS 6 update is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, the iPod Touch 4th generation and the iPad 2 and the new iPad. The iPhone 5 and the new iPod Touch 5th generation are shipped with iOS 6 pre-loaded.
