The officials at Sony are in a generous mood according to the PlayStation blog as the Japanese conglomerate announced free download of six PlayStation Mobile games in the coming six weeks. With PS4 news available in abundance the unannounced console does not need promotion but PlayStation Mobile is a different story.

The free titles will be available for any PlayStation Certified device, including the PS Vita. Users, who do not possess the certification need to download and install the PlayStation Mobile Android application. Samurai Beatdown is the first free game offered by Sony in an effort to promote its mobile gaming platform.

Samurai Beatdown is rhythm-based action game, which reads the user’s signals to music to disperse the enemies. It is the match between the player’s waves and the waves of the demons. The game is available now and will be available till Wednesday next week. PlayStation users can download the free games each Wednesday till February 19.

Users, who are not PlayStation Plus members, can also access the download of freebies from Sony. Users in Australia, Japan, US, UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and Spain can take advantage of this promotion stunt from the Japanese conglomerate. PlayStation Mobile has not achieved the popularity the gaming consoles are enjoying.

PS4, the much-rumoured console from Sony is expected to release this year with the firm speculated to make many changes to the device. Sony is putting in its efforts to promote PlayStation Mobile and the results of the efforts will be visible soon.
