Apple Maps seems to be reeling from another set of problems as it is alleged that users are being redirected to Google Maps by the Apple Maps application. Apple introduced iOS 6 without Google Maps and unveiled its own foray into the maps application.
The problem revealed by technology expert website, TechCrunch is that when an Apple user shares their location, the link redirects to Google Maps if it is opened on a desktop, Android, or any phone not running on Apple’s iOS 6. The new problem seems to be sprouting from Apple’s lack of actual online home for its maps, links shared from an Apple device lead back to Google Maps.
TechCrunch also reports that Twitter shares from iOS 6 lead to Apple Maps on mobile, though the same link opened in Facebook redirects to Google Maps. If the users try to share their location using a mail or message, Apple sends a Vcard with a web address of Apple maps, but using anything else will get the user to Google Maps. iOS 6 users are facing this problem as Apple Maps are an integral part of the new operating system.
iOS 6 completely discarded Google Maps in purview of the new Apple Maps which seem to have disappointed Apple users. With Apple Maps receiving sardonic remarks from every corner, it is reported that Apple is looking to hire ex-Google employees for the correction of errors in its maps application.
Apple Maps seem to have their fair share of problems and errors leaving the technology world to ponder over a question, Did Apple release the maps application too soon?

I think Apple is playing it too quick to get more customer attrition. It needs to get back into the lab and set a strategy to create a killer map Application which would win back its respect
I completely agree with you Mark. Apple needs to revamp its mess and come back stronger. Lets hope to see a better application in the near future
