Android 4.2 rumours were pronounced false by many technological avenues with AndroidandMe being the leading web site to issue an apology. The web site had published rumours about a software update for Android, namely Android 4.2. The technological fronts were flooding about the news of a LG Google Nexus device launching the Android 4.2 update.
AndroidandMe retracted the rumours by claiming that they had published information verified by various resources, but it turned out false. There has been no confirmation about the Nexus phone, though the experts believe that Google might have been successful in containing the news of the new smartphone.
After the Android 4.2 rumours surfaced online, Google did not make any official statement about the rumours, though its Android team member shared his thoughts on Google+. Dan Morrill, stated his thoughts after reading the rumor sites and said, “LOL.”
According to the rumours, Android 4.2 would include a large number of changes. The most exciting rumored improvements were a new Customization Center, revamped Nexus program, and battery-saving Project Roadrunner. The rumours though turned out to be false as the source was deemed unreliable.
The LG Optimus Nexus G rumours have still not been confirmed or denied, thus leading to speculations about the smartphone which might mark Google’s partnership with the Taiwanese company in extension of the Nexus flagship. The smartphone is rumoured to unveil operating on Android 4.1 or will it launch the Android 4.2 update?
