Samsung VS Apple – It is not about the patents now

The patent war between Apple and Samsung has now reached a new level with Samsung declaring Apple, a fake genius with its new advertisement. The recent release of iPhone 5 has prompted Samsung’s reaction towards the US smartphone manufacturer.

The South Korean company has released a print advertisement comparing the features of the two smartphones, Galaxy SIII and iPhone 5 with a tag-line reading ‘The Next Big Thing Is Already Here’, referring to Galaxy SIII. The advert started running live since Sunday and has created headlines in the technology world.

Samsung and Apple have been at war from a long time over patent infringements, but with the Galaxy manufacturer poking fun at Apple iPhone 5, the conditions are about to get worse. The print advert also takes a jab at the new ‘lightning dock’ released by Apple for the iPhone 5.

Samsung also claimed that the iPhone 5 is a imitation of Galaxy SIII in the new advertisement. The new ad campaign from Samsung has inspired Apple fanatics to retaliate with their own version of the ad announcing Galaxy SIII’s shortcomings. The South Korean company had earlier mocked iPhone with the release of the Galaxy SII in a video advertisement.

With the mocking of iPhone 5, Samsung plans to increase its sales without understanding the notion that iPhone sales are merely a reflection of the loyalty of the consumers. Apple as a brand has captured the hearts of the people and continues winning support from new users.
