It’s time: Samsung will unveil the successor to Galaxy S3 in New York

Galaxy S4 release date will be probably revealed at today’s ‘Samsung Unpacked’ event in New York and the rumours about the specs and price of the smartphone can finally come to rest. Galaxy S4 has become the most-awaited device since the iPhone 5 was released in September last year. The South Korean company is looking to create a unique following with Galaxy S4.

With Samsung suggesting that the software instilled in Galaxy S4 will outshine the hardware specs, consumers are looking forward to today’s event, where the firm announces its new creation. With just hours away from the Galaxy S4 launch event, images continue to leak on media avenues heightening the excitement among people.

Samsung is reportedly looking to announce two versions of the smartphone with the different processors, though both will clock same speed. The international version of Galaxy S4 is reported to operate on Samsung’s own Exynos 5 Octa processor while the US variant will be apparently powered by Snapdragon 600 processor.

Samsung has also planned to broadcast the S4 launch event at the Times Square and this unveiling could be termed as one of the biggest smartphone launch events this year. Galaxy S4 specs rumours have hinted that the device will sport an eight-core Exynos processor, a separate eight-core graphics processing unit, a 4.99-inch Super Amoled display, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera with 1080p video capability, a 2-megapixel front-facing camera, and the latest version of Android, known as 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
