Samsung Galaxy S Duos, a cheap, dual SIM alternative to the company’s flagship smartphone, will be ideal for those who are tired of carrying two phones.
“The Galaxy S Duos offers all the style and high-end performance users expect from GALAXY smartphones. It also affords the convenience of Dual SIM access, giving the smartphone added communication flexibility,” Samsung boasts.
Samsung Galaxy S Duos, which will be launching initially in Europe before rolling out to other territories, be running on Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich.
The latest phone in Samsung’s Android line-up will feature 1GHz processor, a 1500mAh battery and 4GB of on-board storage with microSD card slot for expansion.
Samsung Galaxy S Duos will have 5-megapixel camera, 4-inch display on the front, with an 800 x 480 pixel resolution. Measuring 63.1 x 121.5 x 10.5mm, the Android handset will be compact and lightweight.
Samsung’s blog post also suggests that a 4G version of Galaxy S Duos might be in the works, as it says that specifications might differ on the LTE version.
Samsung Galaxy S Duos will be available in Europe from September, but the launch date for the UK is still unclear.
