LG Nexus 5 leaked

Are LG and Google planning to release Nexus 5 in October?

LG Nexus 5 image and specs surfaced on the web days after Galaxy S4 was unveiled by Samsung, hinting a new trend in the smartphone market. With the competition increasing in the smartphone market, the firms are adopting new strategies to market their products. The leaked specs of Nexus 5 include a mind-boggling array of attributes, which will be reign superior among the features of other smartphones.

The impressive specs of Nexus 5 include a 5.2-inch display with 1920×1080 resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz, 3GB LPDDR3 RAM and variants of 16/32/64 GB. The alleged specs sheet also suggest the existence of 16MP rear camera by OmniVision and 2.1MP front camera. Nexus 5 is rumoured to be powered by 3300 mAh Lithium Polymer battery.

The leaked specs list also included front stereo speakers along with support for terrestrial television broadcasts with and integrated DVB-T and ATSC antenna and gesture controls. Nexus 5 is code-named Megalodon, according to the leaked information. Google’s last collaboration with LG, Nexus 4, was a runaway hit among the consumers and if these specs turn to be true another major success could be expected.

There have been no details about the operating system of Nexus 5, which raises the question about the introduction of Key Lime Pie, which is speculated to be the next variant in the Android OS family. Google is rumoured to release the next version of Android at its developer conference in May.

Nexus 5 is apparently heading for an October release this year according to the report from the anonymous source. It will be hard to determine the authenticity of the leaked specs, but the past can be used as a reference. What do you think about the leaked specs?
