LG Nexus 4 features as listed by Carphone Warehouse

LG Nexus 4, Google’s next smartphone was on display for pre-order before its official release at the website of UK retailer, Carphone Warehouse. The shipping date of LG Nexus 4 was displayed as October 30, one day after Google’s scheduled event, which might turn out to be the platform for the launch of the smartphone.

LG Nexus 4 is not the first device to be outed by the UK retailer as iPad mini was displayed by Carphone Warehouse in its inventory a week before the iPad mini was released. LG Nexus 4 is speculated to release the Android 4.2 update of Google’s operating system, though the list of features at the web site displays the smartphone featuring Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

According to the leaked specifications, LG Nexus 4 comprises of a 4.7-inch display, a quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor, an 8MP camera and 8GB storage. The leaked information also suggests that LG Nexus 4 will sport a new feature which will allow the users to write text by the use of swipe technology. Nexus 4 images had earlier leaked on the internet.

LG Nexus 4 is reported to be inspired by the LG Optimus G, which was released by the South Korean conglomerate and comprised a 13MP voice-activated camera. The web site also reported the price of SIM-free version of the LG Nexus 4 to be £389.95. The smartphone will be available in black and white colours according to Carphone Warehouse.

Google is rumoured to release a 10-inch Nexus tablet, Nexus 7 32GB variant, Nexus 4 and the new Android operating system at the event, which can be deemed as the biggest showing of Nexus devices by Google.
