HTC Droid DNA’s variant HTC Deluxe (DLX) might release sooner than expected

HTC Droid DNA’s variant, HTC Deluxe (DLX) is not far behind as the images of the smartphone leaked online. HTC Droid DNA was released for the US users and was well-received by them. HTC Deluxe (DLX) shares the same monster screen of Droid DNA, a 5-inch 1920 x 1080-resolution display.

HTC had already launched Butterfly J for Japanese markets, which was followed by the release of Droid DNA for the US markets. Reports suggest that HTC Deluxe (DLX) could make its public appearance at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January 2013 or the Mobile World Congress (MWC) event in February 2013.

Talking about the revolutionary display of Droid DNA, HTC’s Director of Public Relations, Tom Harlin said, “I don’t know if the spec game will end, tech continues to advance, but there are plateaus. And the Droid DNA by HTC, the first to achieve a 1080p screen, sets a new bar and I don’t think there are many screens that will able to extend pass this anytime in the near future.”

HTC Deluxe (DLX) is reported to share the same flaw of the absence of extension of memory storage. Droid DNA features a 16GB internal storage with no avenue of expansion through microSD option. DNA was also reported to provide low battery performance. The leaked images show that the smartphone is expected in three colours, black, brown and white.

With reports suggesting more information on HTC Deluxe (DLX) to be available on December 6, the release date of the smartphone might be revealed then.
