Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini will arrive in the UK on November 8 as the South Korean company unveiled another variant of Galaxy S3 for eastern markets. The new edition is called Samsung Galaxy Premier and will be released across Eastern Europe and Asia. Galaxy Premier sports a bigger screen and processor when compared to S3 mini.
The official price of Galaxy S3 mini has not been announced by the company yet. Galaxy S3 mini 8GB model is priced at £314.99 by Expansys while Clove lists the smartphone at £298.80. Galaxy mini is reported to be factory installed with The Sims 3 and Bejewelled 2. The S3 mini is the compact variant of Samsung’s best-selling smartphone; Galaxy S3.
Commenting on the Galaxy S3 mini, Samsung’s UK Vice President for Telecommunications and Networks, Simon Stanford, said, “The Galaxy S III Mini brings the high performance, intuitive ease-of-use and nature-inspired design of the Galaxy S III in a new elegant yet compact form.”
Galaxy S3 mini features a a dual-core, 1Ghz ST-Ericsson NovaThor processor, with 1GB of RAM and either 8GB or 16GB of internal storage memory. The Super AMOLED screen measures 4-inches and has a 480 x 800 pixel resolution. S3 mini also comprises of a 5 mega-pixel rear camera and a front facing VGA camera.
Galaxy mini operates on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, it would have been the latest Android operating system had Google not released the Android 4.2. With Samsung targeting every market with Galaxy S3 mini and Galaxy Premier, the fortunes of the South Korean company are bound to rise.
