Samsung Galaxy S3 mini, the South Korean company’s novel variant in the smartphone section is rumoured to be unveiled in the coming week. Samsung’s German branch has sent invitations for an event on October 11, which might be the release date of Galaxy S3 mini.
The invite was in German which translates to ‘that’s how big small can be’. Galaxy S3 mini is alleged to be the smaller variant of Samsung’s already existing Galaxy S3. Samsung laced the invitation with the mark of Galaxy, thus instigating speculations about the release of Galaxy S3 mini.
Samsung Galaxy S3 mini is rumoured to house a dual-core processor, 5 mega-pixel camera, 4-inch super AMOLED screen with WVGA resolution and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean factory installed. The existing Galaxy S3 has a 4.8-inch screen while including a greater resolution camera.
Samsung Galaxy S3 mini release rumours come at a time when iPad mini release speculations are growing on the market. Samsung’s launch of S3 mini might be seen as a direct attack on Apple’s iPhone 5 as the price of Galaxy S3 is rumoured to be less than half of the price of iPhone 5. The two technology giants have been feuding against each other for patent infringements.
Samsung is also expected to launch Galaxy S3 Plus at the event in Germany on October 11. Galaxy S3 is the best-selling smartphone of Samsung’s repertoire of devices and the South Korean company is looking to increase the sales by unveiling the mini variant of Galaxy S3. With the event approaching close technology experts ponder over one question, Will it be the Galaxy S3 mini or another member of the Galaxy series?
