Apple might be releasing two new iPhone device this year

New iPhone release date rumours loom as speculations about Apple launching two iPhones have surfaced. The California giant is allegedly preparing for the launch of two iPhone devices, a reduced cost device and an iPhone 5S with advanced features. The release date of the new iPhone is rumoured to be in July after the announcement a month earlier.

Apple is also speculated to announce iOS 7 with the alleged new iPhone devices. KGI Securities analyst, Ming-Chi Ku, a well-known name in news circles pertaining to Apple devices, published a report claiming that the iPad manufacturing company is expected to announce the new models in June.

A statement from Kuo’s research report read, “We expect Apple will introduce its new iPhones and iOS7 in June, and start shipping the new iPhone 5S and the low-cost model in the FDD version in July.” iPhone 5S specs are alleged to be derived from iPhone 5 with addition of some new features.

iPhone 5S is expected to feature a finger-print scanner along with presumably an A7 chip, an improved LED SmartFlash sensor on the back, and an enhanced camera sensor. The low-cost iPhone model might be running a little short on features, but will possess almost all features of the iPhone 5. The use of passwords will diminish with the apparent launch of the finger print scanner.

The release of the new iPhone in a shorter time period can be attributed to the growing success of Apple’s competitors. With Samsung Galaxy S4 set to launch this month, Apple would need to bring its best if it wants to stay on the top of the smartphone market. What do you think about the two new iPhone devices?
