As the unveiling of Apple’s iPhone 5 comes closer, the magnitude of the fake variants of the smartphone is growing higher on the market. The hoax versions of iPhone 5 are running rampant in China.
The price of the fake iPhone 5 starts from a meagre $5 (£3). Every fake iPhone 5 resembles the devices appearing on the internet. China is a growing market for dupe technology, the sham iPhone 5 features a two tone back, 4 inch display screen, a mini Dock Connector, redesigned speaker grills, taller and thinner profile, synonymous with the features of the original iPhone 5.
China’s e-commerce website Taobao, similar to eBay and Amazon, initiated the selling of iPhone 5 dupes through the internet. The last few days have been creating a rise in speculations about iPhone 5 as the mock versions of the smartphone are being sold online.
GSMIsrael alleged to possess exclusive iPhone 5 hands-on, thought they were a plastic mockery designed by the company itself. The mockery has developed into a bad habit of the people who claim to have the iPhone 5 before the release of the original smartphone.
The Asia based pop star ‘Dreamer Jimmy’ is back with the photos of a counterfeit iPhone 5. He previously appeared several months ago with a fake mini iPad.
There were digitally altered images of the A6 mother board, which is reported to be in iPhone 5. The most detailed shenanigan was the video which was doing the rounds on the internet about an iPhone 5 prototype.
With the fakes ruling the market in China, Apple has to devise a strategy to increase the purchase of the original iPhone 5.
