Apple iPad mini and 4th generation iPad are scheduled to receive EE’s 4G services in the UK after the launch of the tablets at Apple’s event. iPad mini is 7.9-inch tablet whereas the 4th generation iPad adheres to the size of its predecessor, but with an enhanced display experience. EE is the first company to provide 4G services in the UK.
EE’s 4G tariff details were disclosed to the UK people, who were not content about the rates of the packages. UK users complained about the absence of the unlimited downloads option for the 4G services from EE. EE stands for Everything Everywhere and is the parent company of Orange and T-Mobile.
The prices for the 4G packages of iPad mini and 4th-gen iPad have not been announced by the company yet. There have been speculations in the market that iPad mini and 4th-gen iPad would not have the support of EE’s 4G services, but the telecom company’s release about the approval of the 4G services for iPad mini and 4th-gen iPad have laid them to rest.
EE’s statement also proclaimed that the 4G iPad plans would be attractive than the previously disclosed 4G mobile plans. The 4G mobile services of EE offer a basic package at £36 for a month which allows 500MB of data, £41 package with 1GB data, 3GB data will come at £46, 5GB data will be available at £51 and another package provides the 4G service users an allowance of 8GB data for £56.
The basic model of iPad mini is priced at £269 while the 4G model comes at £369. The basic 4th generation iPad costs £399 and the 4G variant is priced at £499.
