Apple iTV rumours suggest that the California giant is planning something big for the consumers. Apple is not just planning a set top box, which facilitates the media onto the television, but the iPhone manufacturing firm is planning on the whole shebang. The firm is reportedly looking to build a TV set for its iTV offering.
Many rumours suggest that Apple iTV is scheduled for a release this year with Foxconn reported to build the components of the device. Foxconn later denied the rumours about the development of iTV, which some reports are claiming to be called iPanel, once it releases. Apple had earlier stated that iTV was just a hobby the company was looking into.
Hinting at something bigger than the existing Apple TV, CEO Tim Cook said, “With Apple TV, however, despite the barriers in the TV set top box market, for those of us who use it, we’ve always thought there was something there. And that if we kept following our intuition and kept pulling the string, then we might find something that was larger.”
The instance which accentuated the Apple iTV rumours to a greater height was the interview of CEO, Tim Cook on NBC. In a response to Williams, Cook said, “When I go into my living room and turn on the TV, I feel like I have gone backwards in time by 20 to 30 years. It’s an area of intense interest. I can’t say more than that.”
The price of iTV is speculated to be around $1,500 and $2,000, with screen sizes between 42 and 55 inches. There have been many rumours about Apple iTV, but time will tell, which ones come true. What do you think about the Apple iTV.
