Apple new iMac – A new experience all together

Apple’s event has placed the spotlight back on the technology giant and that might be the way Apple likes it. With iPad mini and 4th generation iPad being unveiled at the Apple event, the company has taken a new step in the market it rules and the market it is aiming to rule. Amidst the tablets, Apple unveiled a new iMac at the event, which is supposed to be the thinnest iMac ever.

The new iMac is enhanced to perfection by Apple as it possesses a 5mm-thin edge and occupies 40% less volume of space. The new iMac introduces a revolutionary design mechanism as it uses airplane technology in joining the front and back end. Apple has tried to push the envelope in every area, so it could innovate a completely different product.

The Apple iMac’s LCD is placed right at the cover glass, thus enhancing the visual experience by many counts. Apple engineers have laminated the screen with plasma deposition, thus reducing the reflection by 75%. Plasma deposition refers to the applying of a coating of silicon dioxide and niobium pentoxide.

The new iMac creates a true to life experience on the screen as the screen is colour calibrated. The new iMac is powered by third-generation Intel processors starting at 2.7GHz and reaching a maximum speed of 3.2GHz. Users can also customize their iMac’s at the Apple store.

The Apple iMac sports an advanced array of NVIDIA GeForce graphics processors providing up to 60% greater performance. The speakers on the new iMac are built to deliver sounds to large areas and two microphones ensure that your voice gets through. The Magic Mouse now gives two ways to multi-touch and Apple has also introduced some new storage options at the event.

Apple seems to be changing the way people look at desktops with the new iMac. The 21.5-inch new iMac starts at $1299 and will be available in November whereas the 27-inch starts at $1799 and will be coming in December.
